About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a PRN Community-Based Specialist for its Intercept® program in Terre Haute, Indiana. Intercept is an evidence-based, intensive in-home program that works to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification. It serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma. Services are delivered in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and use strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions to help families build lasting change, parenting skills, and communication skills. The specialist carries a small caseload as assigned by a supervisor on an as-needed basis. The role involves individual and family sessions, ongoing assessment, participation in professional-development meetings, collaboration with other providers and systems, crisis support, and timely documentation. The schedule is flexible and nontraditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. The role requires substantial local driving; applicable mileage is reimbursed. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour, based on education. Benefits are excluded for variable-status employees.
