PRN Community-Based Paraprofessional - Terre Haute, IN

YOUTH VILLAGES, INC.•Bloomington, IN

About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a PRN Community-Based Paraprofessional in Terre Haute, Indiana, to support children and families served by Intercept®, an intensive, evidence-based in-home program. Intercept works to prevent out-of-home placements or facilitate reunification for youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma. Services are delivered in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and provide strength-based support tailored to each family’s needs. The paraprofessional coordinates transportation and supervised visits, teaches parenting skills, completes assessments and documentation, and communicates with referral sources and supervisors. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth, adults, and families served. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. Community-based staff are reimbursed for applicable mileage. Youth Villages describes itself as a national organization serving more than 47,000 youth, young people, and families annually across 29 states and Washington, D.C., with more than 5,000 staff. Benefits are excluded for variable-status employees; the posting lists benefits that may depend on employment status.
