About The Position

Responsible for the management and operation of a mid-size, full-service branch office in an effective and profitable manner, promoting bank products and services and providing quality customer service and satisfaction in accordance with the bank's policies, procedures, and philosophy. Performs lending activities (consumer & small Business).

Requirements

  • Completes assigned training in conjunction with Consumer Bank Training & Operations Team.
  • CARE certified within 6 months of hire
  • Complete Bank’s leadership (STELLAR) classes as assigned by Employee Services
  • Completes Leadership Basics as scheduled by Consumer Bank Training.
  • Requires a two- year degree or equivalent.
  • Five to ten years of general business experience required.
  • Five to ten years of specialized experience required.
  • Successful completion of the retail training program required.
  • Proof of registration with the registry and verification of a unique identifier as established under the guidelines of the S.A.F.E. Act is required upon hire and/or must be obtained prior to performing the duties of a Mortgage Loan Originator, as defined by the Act.
  • This registration must be maintained annually in accordance with the S.A.F.E. Act.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the branch.
  • Developing a sales and quality service culture throughout the branch by acting as coach and team leader.
  • Communicating expectations, goals, and objectives to branch personnel.
  • Recommending improved operating policies and procedures and ensuring their implementation.
  • Making recommendations for branch personnel regarding employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Coaching, guiding, and mentoring branch team members in complex work phases, personal development, and career planning.
  • Managing branch lending activities in consumer & Small Business lending, including interviewing loan customers, preparing applications and documentation, and processing loans.
  • Focusing on execution of S&T sales conversations, note-taking in appropriate systems while profiling customers to determine and recommend appropriate S&T loan and deposit products.
  • Acting as "first-line" human resource administrator.
  • Coaching and observing sales platform team members weekly using the Banker Observation form.
  • Performing ongoing coaching with all team members on the execution of behaviors and expectations outlined in the Branch Playbook.
  • Reviewing and coaching to customer surveys received as part of the Customer Insight (Avannis) program.
  • Completing employee performance reviews and conducting interviews with employees to discuss performance, goals, and objectives.
  • Coordinating with Regional Management and Human Resources on branch staffing needs, staff development, succession planning, and personnel issues.
  • Leading or assigning leadership of branch sales meetings, providing positive feedback regarding sales activity, and reviewing branch sales goals.
  • Overseeing dashboard and pipeline management.
  • Managing branch profitability by focusing on staffing/ES expenses, loan growth, deposit growth, fee income, efficiency ratios, and budget items.
  • Managing business relationships within the community.
  • Handling branch audit responsibilities in operations, compliance, and security.
  • Directing delivery of services to the customer and attending to customers with special needs.
  • Using FOR-LIFE skills, product knowledge, and policy knowledge to suggest additional bank services and refer customers to other Lines of Business.
  • Utilizing appropriate computer programs for proactive outbound call list generation.
  • Working with platform sales team as a coach and support for outbound calling efforts.
  • Coaching/observing platform sales team on S&T Sales conversations, documentation, and usage of sales tools.
  • Communicating with branch personnel to provide training and review bank policies, product knowledge, and customer service responsibilities.
  • Ensuring that standards of professionalism are met by branch personnel.
  • Representing the bank in civic and community functions.
  • Interacting with line of business partners to expand customer relationships and develop new contacts.
  • Keeping informed of current developments, trends, and regulations related to branch operations.
  • Maintaining prescribed security controls to protect the branch.
  • Ensuring branch facilities are in good operational repair and recommending capital improvements.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with bank employees in other departments.
  • Completing NMLS requirements as part of the S.A.F.E. Act certification.
  • Assuming additional duties as required.
