The Communications Operator is responsible for responding to and operating multi-function workstations, paging systems, emergency hotlines, and alarm devices. This role serves as a critical communication link between personnel, patients, and caregivers in various medical and non-medical situations. The operator will maintain knowledge of department policies, procedures, and personnel information, and arrange for the repair of communication equipment. This is a part-time position with 24 hours per week, involving a rotating holiday schedule. The role requires excellent verbal communication skills and the flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. The operator will be exposed to a normal office environment and must be able to handle stressful situations daily.
