About The Position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a Communications Manager, HR Communications. This is a hybrid role requiring an average of two days per week in an HPE office. The role is designed for someone with exceptional communication skills and experience leading complex, high-visibility communications programs in a global, matrixed organization. The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller who can connect business priorities, innovation, leadership narratives, and team member engagement into compelling communications. This position offers a rare opportunity to join HPE’s world-class Global Communications team, which advocates for HPE’s corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership. The role focuses on shaping how HPE communicates its most important people priorities, including talent, performance, career, and rewards programs, by building and executing compelling narratives and engaging communication experiences for team members worldwide.

Requirements

  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex HR, business, and leadership topics into clear, simple, and actionable language for global audiences.

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, HR communications, leadership communications, journalism, marketing communications, or a related field.
  • Proficient command of English (US), including excellent grammar, composition, editing, and proofreading skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting HR, culture, or employee engagement communications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with content management systems, collaboration tools, social media platforms, and basic multimedia or design tools is preferred.
  • A portfolio of writing, editing, or communications work is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR communications initiatives by translating people-related programs, policies, and priorities into clear, practical, and engaging messages for global audiences.
  • Develop communication strategies for people leaders and team members that support HPE priorities across talent, performance, and rewards experiences.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate content for multiple internal channels, including email messages, intranet articles, talking points, presentations, social posts, and engagement materials.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR teams on communication best practices and strategies.
  • Project manage with leadership oversight; lead communications timelines, reviews, and deliverables across stakeholders and program owners to ensure accurate, timely execution.
  • Ensure all communications are clear, compelling, inclusive, and aligned with HPE’s writing style, brand standards, and tone.
  • Use engagement data, feedback, and performance insights to refine communication approaches and strengthen team member engagement.
