About The Position
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Communications Representative to support outreach to external stakeholders, including legislative offices, state and local officials, Army partners, and industry representatives. The role supports communication of science and technology priorities, budget and appropriations activities, stakeholder reporting, and coordination of official visits. It also involves analytical work retrieving, assessing, organizing, and analyzing structured data, as well as drafting, refining, and presenting detailed written products. The position is onsite in Warren, Michigan, and cannot be performed remotely. The employee will support the U.S. Army’s Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC).
Requirements
- 15 or more years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; 13 or more years with a master’s degree in a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 19 or more years of relevant experience.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare briefs and summaries.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple organizations and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate professionally with senior leaders, government officials, and key stakeholders.
- Ability to organize technical, programmatic, budget, and legislative information.
- High attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities
- Perform policy analysis for GVSC, including reviewing and evaluating legislative and policy developments that may affect Army ground vehicle research and development.
- Support engagement with legislative, state, local, and industry stakeholders.
- Prepare meeting materials, talking points, background summaries, and follow-up actions.
- Assist with budget and appropriations coordination, including activities related to the President’s Budget.
- Manage tracking and coordination of stakeholder reporting requirements and information requests.
- Develop briefs, fact sheets, correspondence, and other communication products.
- Support planning and execution of external stakeholder visits.
- Assist in maintaining internal processes, templates, and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned; travel may be required.
