About The Position

Join our team and help advance Sutter Health Philanthropy through clear, effective communications. We are seeking a versatile writer with strong storytelling, persuasive writing, and editorial skills to develop donor-focused content across digital, print, and multimedia channels. As a key contributor to the Philanthropy Communications Team, this role identifies and develops compelling stories, creates website and email content, writes stewardship and campaign materials, and provides writing support for events, presentations, video projects, and other philanthropic communications. While the role contributes content for digital platforms, its primary focus is creating high-quality written content and strategic communications rather than technical website design or development. Working closely with philanthropy colleagues, clinicians, leaders, and marketing and communications partners, the role translates complex information into clear, compelling content tailored to a variety of audiences, helping engage donors, demonstrate the impact of philanthropy, and advance fundraising priorities. This position is well suited to a nimble, self-directed communicator who can build strong relationships, navigate a highly matrixed organization, adapt quickly to changing priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and consistently deliver high-quality work on deadline.
