About The Position

Indiana University Health Foundation is seeking a strategic, self-driven, and donor-obsessed fundraising professional to own and execute the Annual Fund strategy for IU Health Foundation. Operating with significant autonomy, this person will coordinate closely with the Director of Donor Communications, the Foundation's data analytics partner, and the broader Foundation calendar to deliver campaigns that are compelling, well-timed, and measurably effective. This role leads Annual Fund strategy execution and donor engagement for IU Health Foundation, including owning end-to-end execution of Annual Fund campaigns targeting donor segments in the $1–$1,000 range, managing and growing the Heart of IU Health team member giving campaign, developing and managing segmented, multi-channel fundraising campaigns via mailers and other outreach channels, overseeing donor segments across patient donors, team member donors, and external/other donors, coordinating campaign timing with the full Foundation calendar to align with events and programming themes, collaborating with the Foundation's data analytics partner on segmentation and campaign performance, and partnering with internal stakeholders to create compelling donor communications and stewardship experiences. The role also involves tracking and reporting on donor acquisition and retention metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of fundraising software (i.e. Raiser's Edge, Salesforce)
  • Proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ownership Mentality: You run the Annual Fund like it's yours: you will plan, execute, and evaluate campaigns end-to-end.
  • Donor-Motivated: You're energized by donor growth metrics, not just mailer execution
  • Strategic & Thematic: You understand how to time and theme campaigns for maximum impact - aligning outreach to events, giving moments, and donor psychology.
  • Organized & Calendar-Aware: You manage a complex calendar of campaigns with multiple dependencies, and you keep everything on track without dropping balls.
  • Strong Communicator & Writer: You craft donor-facing communications that are warm, compelling, and on-brand.
  • Collaborative: You coordinate effectively with your director, data partners, and cross-functional Foundation colleagues without needing constant direction.
  • Data-Curious: You may not be a data analyst, but you're comfortable working with segmentation logic and campaign performance data to make smarter decisions.
  • Mission-Connected: You genuinely care about the work IU Health does and can translate that passion into donor communications that move people to give.
