About The Position

Operate the hospital switchboard to answer, transfer and respond to general information questions to all incoming and outgoing calls. Monitor and control the paging and alarm systems according to established policy and procedure. Processes emergency calls in a fast and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge gained through achievement of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of communication procedures, typing and computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Switchboard experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Solid understanding of communications systems, their operations and how they interact with hospital personnel.
• Strong organizational skills.
