•$140,000 - $180,000

About The Position

Slingshot AI is hiring its first in-house Comms Lead to serve as editor-in-chief of the company’s public communications. The role will turn research, safety work, clinical expertise, and user experiences into compelling stories that help shape public understanding of AI and mental health. The Comms Lead will identify timely stories, own the publishing cadence, write most of the content, and decide what to publish and when. Content may include written pieces, short videos, headlines, LinkedIn posts, panel talks, pitches to reporters, research write-ups, and press releases. The role will also work with outside support for pitching and placement when useful and brief video producers as needed. The position involves tracking developments across internal teams and relevant cultural conversations; finding fresh, audience-relevant angles in research and other company material; publishing consistently and quickly across relevant channels; building relationships with reporters; making the company’s safety approach, clinical frameworks, trial results, and people more visible; supporting founders, researchers, and clinicians in their own communications; and developing core messages, particularly around safety. Communications should support business goals such as signups, B2B leads, and fundraising visibility while making complex technical and clinical information accessible.
