About The Position

PACCAR is seeking a Meetings, Events and Marketing Purchasing Manager to join a strong and growing Indirect Purchasing team. This individual will have responsibility for the development and implementation of Indirect Procurement strategies, leading sourcing activities, and ensuring the programs are aligned with global and regional program objectives. This individual will focus on continuous process improvements while providing exceptional customer service and cost savings in alignment with company initiatives. This position is located in Bellevue, WA.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Commodity Management, Meetings & Events, Marketing, Travel Sourcing, or other related experience.
  • Demonstrated and successful experience in evaluating and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Experience of performing Strategic Sourcing roles from spend analysis to commodity strategy creation and management.
  • Ability to work with leaders globally (in other countries and/or time zones as needed).
  • Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative, self-motivated, quality, and results-driven work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP (or similar procure-to-pay platform) experience preferred.
  • Masters or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & support the development of long-term enterprise-wide category strategies.
  • Identify and implement strategies that minimize or mitigate risk to PACCAR.
  • Create and maintain policies & procedures for assigned category.
  • Manage internal communication of category initiatives and reporting of results.
  • Monitor category spend and continuously evaluate options to reduce total cost of ownership.
  • Develop and Issue formal market tests via Requests for Information, Proposals and Quotes (RFIs, RFPs, & RFQs.)
  • Benchmark internal and external costs against industry and competitive standards.
  • Facilitate the execution and ongoing maintenance of LTAs, MSAs, and other commercial agreements.
  • Drive negotiations to deliver the most competitive pricing and enterprise-level benefits.
  • Provide support to divisions by aligning priorities and regional opportunities.
  • Building strategic supplier relationships.
  • Continuous evaluation/assessment of supplier performance.
  • Lead and manage quarterly/annual business reviews.
  • Ensuring compliance to contracts and established service level agreements.
  • Collaborate and lead projects and work cross functionally with regional and global teams.
  • Drive and implement continuous process improvement activities.
  • Interface with all levels of management in all regions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
