The position includes using digital and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and work quality, managing personal hours with company tools, and completing assigned deliverables on time and within budget. The role is remote within the United States, with the employee required to live near a major airport. It requires up to 75% domestic travel, potentially to any U.S. state, and may involve international assignments or relocation based on project needs. A valid driver’s license and ability to rent vehicles are required. A REAL ID or acceptable alternative, such as a passport, is required for domestic air travel under the stated federal requirements. Applicants must be current participants in the DoD SkillBridge Program. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline, or at least two years of experience with installation, hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical, controls, and/or electrical infrastructure. The position has physical demands including frequent handling of small parts or tools, stationary work, movement through varied environments and confined spaces, stair and ladder use, occasional positioning under or over equipment, and occasionally moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. The program does not provide compensation through DLB. Participants selected for full-time employment with DLB after completing SkillBridge may be eligible for the company’s benefits package. The stated growth pathway is to Technician III, with increased independent work and technical problem-solving responsibilities.
