Commissioning Engineer

JLS AutomationSpringettsbury Township, PA
Onsite

About The Position

We supply easy-to-use hygienic robotic packaging solutions for the food industry that solve complex packaging challenges. JLS’ custom vision-guided primary and secondary robotic packaging systems are user-friendly, easy to operate, fast to start-up, and ensure both worker and food safety. We have an exceptional customer-focused and employee-centered culture. JLS® offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with an on-site fitness gym, monthly team luncheons, recreation activities, and 401(k) profit sharing options. The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for bringing JLS robotic systems into operation following system power-up. This includes configuring equipment, modifying control programs, debugging system performance, and preparing systems for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). The role works closely with Assembly, Systems Engineering, and Service teams to ensure systems meet performance expectations. For smaller systems, the Commissioning Engineer leads commissioning after power-up; for larger systems, commissioning is performed in collaboration with a Systems Engineer. The Commissioning Engineer supports project execution throughout the startup and commissioning phases, including onsite activities such as installation support, system startup, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at customer facilities.
