About The Position

The Commissioning (Cx) Program Engineer (CxE) is the project-level administrator of Prime’s global commissioning program across a regional portfolio. The CxE owns the commissioning lifecycle for each project in the designated region, from RFP through turnover. As an owner’s representative, the CxE executes on-site testing, enforces standards, governs commissioning, integrates commissioning with construction and design teams, and drives third-party commissioning agents and project teams toward on-time, defect-free turnovers to Operations. The role is accountable for commissioning process management, quality, schedule, and closeout, and works with global commissioning leadership and regional CxEs. Prime is placing commissioning management personnel in its domestic development hubs, including Phoenix. The CxE oversees commissioning across multiple simultaneous projects, including contractor and vendor selection, design development, equipment selection and procurement, pre-functional and functional testing, integrated systems testing, issue resolution, documentation, and operational handover. The role also supports program-level planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and the growth of the commissioning team. Travel to project sites and the Denver office is estimated at 20%, varying with project pipeline and regional needs.

  • Drive issue identification, triage, root-cause tracking, and resolution to closure.
  • Maintain Lessons Learned documentation and revisit and present lessons to leadership and project teams.
  • Scope, select, onboard, and manage third-party CxA providers in coordination with leadership; track, review, and approve their deliverables, schedules, testing scripts, and reports, and course-correct as needed.
  • Serve as the commissioning point of contact for construction and development teams, design engineers, contractors, equipment vendors, and customers, as applicable.
