About The Position

The Commissary Kitchen, also called the Food Lab, is a high-volume food production facility on Madison’s east side that prepares food for the company’s Wisconsin locations. The Route Driver works with the Commissary team to deliver prepared food by box truck to locations in Madison and Milwaukee, returning used pans and cambros to the commissary. The role starts and ends at the Commissary at 802 Walsh Road, Madison, Wisconsin. This is an active, part-time position of approximately 20–25 hours per week. Cross-training with the production crew may provide the opportunity to work full-time. Ideal candidates have open availability on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Shifts may start as early as 9 a.m. or end as late as 9 p.m. The starting wage is $22 per hour.

Requirements

Hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean or near-clean driving record; the Motor Vehicle Record will be checked during the interview process.
Be able to stand and walk for long periods.
Be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including up and down stairs.
Be able to work around common allergens such as gluten, dairy, and eggs.
Be comfortable working in varying temperatures and driving a box truck in variable weather conditions.
Be comfortable working in loud, fast-paced environments.
Be at least 18 years old.
Be authorized to work in the U.S.; IDs are required at orientation.

Responsibilities

Load prepared products into the van for delivery to Wisconsin locations.
Drive the box truck to locations in Madison and Milwaukee to deliver prepared food.
Collect used pans and cambros and return them to the commissary.
Keep the van clean, organized, and ready for the road.
