About The Position

This is a newly created role within our organization. The role involves providing customer service and support at the reception desk. This position requires availability on evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for offering exceptional service while ensuring property policies and procedures are followed. This includes handling check-ins and check-outs, processing payments, making or canceling reservations, and acting as the primary link between clients and the management of the RV and cottage campground. You will work proactively within the team by assisting colleagues, offering suggestions, taking initiative, and taking responsibility for your actions. You are expected to meet or exceed brand service standards and to know and understand the products and services offered by the company and the RV and cottage campground. You will greet customers and process their check-ins/payments, make reservations by phone, online, and in person, and draft emails, letters, newsletters, posters, and other documents as needed. You will have a keen eye for detail and produce quality documents quickly using company templates and standards. You will handle all incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails, exercise sound and independent judgment, good reasoning, and exemplary discretion. You will demonstrate excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills. You will conduct daily site inspections and defect investigations. You will respond to customer complaints promptly, professionally, and courteously, and communicate customer concerns or feedback to the manager. You will maintain a clean and tidy reception area, read all memos related to the reception and its smooth operation, and communicate effectively with all units of the RV and cottage campground. You will record and reconcile revenue on customer notes and balance all customer account reports daily. You will ensure the safety of customers and the property by controlling gate keys, establishing secure key return areas, and adhering to credit card verification procedures for third-party reservations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate, or a corresponding combination of education and experience.
  • One to two years of customer service-related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent time management, ability to multitask, and prioritize with minimal supervision.
  • Access to reliable transportation is essential.
  • Availability on weekends, flexibility for varied shifts (day and evening), and potential for full-time work based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the tourism/hospitality or camping industry is an asset.
