About The Position

Our Underwriting Managers customize solutions for our commercial clients as well as lead and develop a team of underwriters. They work closely with our extensive broker network to develop unique solutions for all classes of risk. They are people centric leaders who truly care about the development of their teams and invest in their career growth. They will be a part of leading the execution of the operational business plan and rate adequacy, risk selection, data quality and service levels. They are also responsible for the achievement of regional goals for profitability and the production of desirable business. They are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our brokers – this means emails and phone calls don’t go unanswered, and in-person broker meetings are regularly penned into their calendars. They also pay attention to the smallest of details, work closely with our Actuarial and Claims Departments.

Requirements

10+ years of Underwriting experience
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience
Experience leading or mentoring a team
Experience with overseeing change management
Strong customer service background
