About The Position

The Commercial Customer Service Manager leads in the management of the Company’s intercompany sales activities: maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships and contact with customers. This role will work onsite at our flagship metals plant in Cannon-Muskegon (in West Michigan). Rich relocation support is available for non-local candidates. Travel may be occasionally required as needed for Customer visits and Customer engagement.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical-related sales experience, preferrable in the alloy or aerospace industries
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Project and/or account management skills.
  • Ability to drive excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of CRM, ERP and MS Office software.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Self-confidence.
  • Business acumen and financial aptitude.
  • Proof of US citizenship, nationality, and/or permanent resident status in order to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with technical aspects of CM alloys and concepts of manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perpetuate sales bookings through direct contact and technical liaison with customers.
  • Manage day-to-day customer communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming orders.
  • Develop new accounts and markets.
  • Report on industry and market trends to Sales and senior leadership.
  • Maintain/control inventory levels for finished goods as directed by management.
  • Track/expedite production orders.
  • Assist accounting with collections.
  • Perform order entry/understand guidelines of contract review.
  • Interface between customers and Manufacturing/Technology concerning specification/technical capability.
  • Monitor sales metrics and provide regular sales forecast for assigned account base.
  • Develop interaction of the technical and metallurgical services group with our customers.
  • Visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
