About The Position
Roof Services, a Tecta America Commercial Roofing company, repairs and replaces commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing. The Commercial Roofing Sheet Metal Laborer/Mechanic is responsible for fabricating and installing sheet metal on various commercial roof systems. Working with a roofing crew, the employee helps complete assigned jobs, including tearing off existing gutters and coping caps, installations, and other assigned tasks.
Requirements
- 0–1 year of commercial roofing experience.
- Ability to regularly lift more than 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, climb, and kneel.
- Ability to climb a 40-foot ladder.
- Ability to work in heat and sub-zero cold.
- No fear of heights.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Good attitude and willingness to work hard.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install sheet metal on various commercial roof systems.
- Work with the roofing crew to complete assigned jobs.
- Tear off existing gutters and coping caps.
- Perform installations and other assigned tasks.
