Commercial Roofing Service Technician – No Experience Required
About The Position
R3 Roofing & Exteriors is seeking a Commercial Roofing Service Technician to join their commercial roofing team in the Des Moines metro area. This is a full-time, hands-on field position focused on commercial roof inspections, repairs, maintenance, and service work. The company is willing to train individuals with no prior commercial roofing experience who are dependable, hardworking, comfortable working with their hands, and eager to learn a skilled trade. The role involves working alongside experienced team members to learn commercial roofing systems and develop valuable career skills. Previous construction, maintenance, handyman, mechanical, landscaping, or warehouse experience is considered a plus but not required.

Responsibilities
- Assist with commercial roof inspections, maintenance, repairs, and service calls
- Help identify and troubleshoot roof leaks and other roofing issues
- Perform basic commercial roof repairs under the direction of experienced team members
- Assist with preventative maintenance on commercial roofing systems
- Remove and replace damaged roofing materials as needed
- Apply sealants, coatings, flashing, and other repair materials
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and roofing equipment
- Load, unload, and organize roofing materials and equipment
- Take photos and document work completed on job sites
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements
- Travel to commercial job sites throughout the Des Moines metro
- Communicate professionally with customers, property representatives, and team members
- Assist with additional commercial roofing projects as needed
