Commercial Roofing Service Helper
About The Position
J Reynolds, a Tecta America Company, provides commercial roofing and waterproofing installations, repairs, and proactive maintenance. The Commercial Roofing Service Helper works outdoors on flat roofs alongside a Service Foreman, performing roofing work with different techniques and tools. Onsite training is provided, with opportunities to advance as the employee masters the basics. The role involves working at heights and in a field environment exposed to noise and varying temperatures. Most work is within one to two hours of travel. The helper must perform roofing work according to job specifications and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and on a roof.
- Must be comfortable working in extreme weather conditions.
- Must be able to regularly lift 50 or more pounds and perform repeated bending, ladder climbing, and kneeling.
- Enjoy working outdoors as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC, and slope systems such as tile and shingles; helpful but not required.
- Past residential and/or commercial roofing or construction experience; a plus but not required.
