About The Position

Royalty Roofing is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious Commercial Roofing Repair Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial roofing systems. The role includes identifying roofing issues, completing quality repairs, documenting work, and communicating with customers, project managers, supervisors, and team members. The technician is expected to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving skills, and maintain a professional standard at every job site. The position requires frequent travel among job sites, including out-of-town and overnight assignments as needed. Work is primarily outdoors and involves working at heights on commercial rooftops, exposure to varying weather conditions, and physically demanding tasks. Compensation is a competitive hourly wage or salary, DOE.

Requirements

At least 2 years of commercial roofing experience, emphasizing repair and maintenance.
Working knowledge of commercial low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, and BUR.
Ability to identify roofing defects and troubleshoot leaks and other roofing issues.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, repair scopes, and related project documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
Ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work safely and effectively at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Willingness and ability to travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-town and overnight assignments as required.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Inspect commercial roofing systems to identify leaks, damage, deterioration, and other repair needs.
Diagnose roofing issues and determine appropriate repair methods and materials.
Repair and maintain commercial roofing systems, including leaks, replacement of materials, flashing, and sealing penetrations.
Work with TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing systems.
Identify potential safety hazards and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Document completed work using digital photographs, service reports, inspection findings, and repair summaries.
Communicate repair needs, completed work, and recommendations professionally to customers, project managers, supervisors, and team members.
Operate, inspect, and maintain roofing tools and equipment, including ladders, hand tools, power tools, and heat-welding equipment.
Keep the work area clean and organized and secure tools and materials at the end of each job.
Complete assigned work efficiently, accurately, and within established schedules.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism at every job site.
Travel to multiple commercial job sites, including out-of-town assignments and overnight stays as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
