About The Position

Royalty Roofing is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious Commercial Roofing Repair Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial roofing systems. The role involves identifying roofing issues, performing quality repairs, documenting work, and communicating with customers, project managers, supervisors, and team members. The technician must be detail-oriented, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively. Travel to various job sites is an essential function and may include out-of-town assignments, multiple days away from home, and overnight stays. Work is primarily outdoors and involves working at heights on commercial rooftops, exposure to varying weather, and physically demanding activities. Compensation is a competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience (DOE).

Requirements

At least 2 years of commercial roofing experience, emphasizing repair and maintenance.
Working knowledge of commercial low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, and BUR.
Ability to identify roofing defects and troubleshoot leaks and other roofing issues.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, repair scopes, and related project documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and function effectively as part of a team.
Ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work safely and effectively at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Willingness and ability to travel between job sites, including out-of-town and overnight assignments.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Inspect commercial roofing systems for leaks, damage, deterioration, and repair needs.
Diagnose roofing issues and determine appropriate repair methods and materials.
Repair and maintain commercial roofing systems, including leaks, roofing materials, flashing, and penetrations.
Work with TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing systems.
Identify safety hazards and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Document completed work with digital photographs, service reports, inspection findings, and repair summaries.
Communicate repair needs, completed work, and recommendations professionally to customers, project managers, supervisors, and team members.
Operate, inspect, and maintain roofing tools and equipment, including ladders, hand tools, power tools, and heat-welding equipment.
Keep work areas clean and organized and secure tools and materials at the end of each job.
Complete assigned work efficiently, accurately, and within established schedules.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism at job sites.
Travel to multiple commercial job sites as business needs require, including out-of-town and overnight assignments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
