About The Position

Royalty Roofing is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious Commercial Roofing Repair Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems. The technician identifies roofing issues, performs quality repairs, documents completed work, and communicates with customers, project managers, supervisors, and team members. The position requires working independently and collaboratively, maintaining a strong focus on safety and workmanship, and traveling frequently to job sites, including out-of-town and overnight assignments as needed. The role involves outdoor work on commercial rooftops and at elevated heights, often in varying weather conditions. Technicians use and maintain roofing tools and equipment, keep job sites organized, and complete assigned work efficiently and accurately. Success requires reliability, effective problem-solving, customer service, teamwork, and professional conduct at every job site.

Requirements

At least 2 years of commercial roofing experience, with an emphasis on repair and maintenance.
Working knowledge of commercial low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, and BUR.
Ability to identify roofing defects and troubleshoot leaks and other roofing issues.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, repair scopes, and related project documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and function effectively as part of a team.
Ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work safely and effectively at heights.
Ability and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Willingness and ability to travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-town and overnight assignments as required.
Ability to travel independently between job sites.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Inspect commercial roofing systems for leaks, damage, deterioration, and other repair needs.
Diagnose roofing problems and determine appropriate repair methods and materials.
Repair and maintain commercial roofing systems, including leak repairs, material replacement, flashing repairs, and sealing penetrations.
Work with TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing (BUR), and metal roofing systems.
Identify potential hazards and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Document completed work with digital photographs, service reports, inspection findings, and repair summaries.
Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, supervisors, and team members about repair needs, completed work, and recommendations.
Operate, inspect, and maintain roofing tools and equipment, including ladders, hand tools, power tools, and heat-welding equipment.
Keep work areas clean and organized and secure tools and materials at the end of each job.
Complete assigned work efficiently, accurately, and within established schedules.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism at job sites.
Travel between job sites, including out-of-town assignments and overnight stays as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
