About The Position

Royalty Roofing is seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious Commercial Roofing Repair Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial roofing systems. The role includes identifying roofing issues, completing quality repairs, documenting work, and communicating professionally with customers, project managers, supervisors, and team members. The technician should be detail-oriented, capable of problem-solving, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively. The position requires frequent travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-town assignments and overnight stays as needed. Work is primarily outdoors, often on commercial rooftops and at elevated heights, with exposure to varying weather and construction-related hazards. The technician is expected to prioritize safety, workmanship, reliability, customer service, and teamwork.

Requirements

At least 2 years of commercial roofing experience, with an emphasis on repair and maintenance.
Working knowledge of commercial low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, and BUR.
Ability to identify roofing defects and troubleshoot leaks and other roofing issues.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, repair scopes, and related project documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work safely and effectively at heights.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Willingness and ability to travel independently to multiple job sites, including out-of-town and overnight assignments as required.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

Inspect commercial roofing systems to identify leaks, damage, deterioration, and other repair needs.
Diagnose roofing issues and select appropriate repair methods and materials.
Repair and maintain commercial roofing systems, including leaks, roofing materials, flashing, and sealed penetrations.
Work on TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up roofing (BUR), and metal roofing systems.
Identify potential safety hazards and follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Document completed work with digital photographs, service reports, inspection findings, and repair summaries.
Communicate repair needs, completed work, and recommendations to customers, project managers, supervisors, and team members.
Operate, inspect, and maintain ladders, hand tools, power tools, heat-welding equipment, and other roofing equipment.
Keep work areas clean and organized and secure tools and materials at the end of each job.
Complete assigned work efficiently, accurately, and within established schedules.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism at job sites.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Travel between job sites, including out-of-town and overnight assignments as required.
