About The Position

Comfort Systems USA Southwest is seeking a Commercial Retro HVAC Apprentice. This role involves representing the company professionally in all matters related to the Service Department, particularly in retrofitting. The apprentice will analyze new projects to ensure goals and deadlines are met, manage time, materials, and manpower effectively, and anticipate potential issues. The apprentice will be responsible for installing HVAC equipment, associated components, and assembling/repairing sheet metal and piping products according to specifications and blueprints. Requirements

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the role.
Pre-Employment drug screen, clean MVR, and background check required.

Responsibilities

Represent the company both internally and externally in all matters pertaining to the Service Department and, in particular, Retrofit.
Analyze each new project with regard to successfully meeting project goals and deadlines.
Ensure cost-effective use of time, materials, and manpower.
Anticipate problems that may prohibit successful, on-time completion of the project.
Check all equipment delivered for proper voltage, application, and condition.
Maintain an on-the-job demeanor that fosters goodwill, high moral standards, and ethical conduct.
Adhere to safety practices and procedures.
Install HVAC Equipment, associated components, assemble, repair sheet metal and piping products of PVC, copper, carbon steel according to the job specifications and blueprint.
