Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician
About The Position
General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen equipment technicians in the Des Moines, Iowa area. Technicians service and repair restaurant and other commercial foodservice equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and commercial kitchens. The role may focus on commercial refrigeration, commercial cooking equipment, or both. General Parts Group supports a field service force of more than 200 technicians across 26 states and provides service, repair, and maintenance for cooking, refrigeration, beverage, HVAC, and warewashing equipment. Technicians are encouraged to pursue CFESA training certifications.
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
Nice To Haves
- CFESA training certifications are encouraged.
- A CFESA Master Certification is held by many technicians on the team.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair commercial restaurant and foodservice equipment at customer locations.
- Work on commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills; commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins; or both.
- Work independently in the field.
