About The Position

General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen equipment technicians in the Des Moines, Iowa area. Technicians service and repair restaurant equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and commercial kitchens. The work may involve commercial refrigeration equipment, commercial cooking equipment, or both. The company provides steady commercial service work and a company vehicle, and encourages technicians to pursue CFESA training certifications. Hourly rates start at $25.00 and go up to $40.00 based on experience. Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000. General Parts Group has operated for more than 80 years and supports a field service force of over 200 technicians across 26 states. Requirements

Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
Valid driver’s license.
EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
Ability to work independently in the field.

Nice To Haves

Experience servicing commercial refrigeration equipment, commercial cooking equipment, or both.
CFESA training certifications are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Service and repair commercial restaurant equipment at customer locations.
Work on commercial refrigeration equipment such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins, commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills, or both.
Work independently in the field.
