About The Position
Akerman LLP is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with 5+ years of experience and strong title, survey, and closing experience supporting homebuilders and developers. The role is suited to someone who can manage high-volume transactions and take ownership of deals from contract through closing. The position may be based in any Akerman U.S. office. Candidates must have substantive experience supporting Florida commercial real estate transactions. The work takes place in a fast-paced, high-volume transactional environment. Requirements
- At least 5 years of real estate paralegal experience in a law firm.
- Substantive experience supporting Florida commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong knowledge of title and survey review and contract administration.
- Experience managing multiple transactions independently.
- Proficiency in MS Office and iManage or similar systems.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on closing experience for developers or homebuilders is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial land acquisition and disposition transactions.
- Review title commitments, exceptions, surveys, and legal descriptions.
- Prepare closing documents, binders, and trackers.
- Coordinate closings, funding, and document execution.
- Track deadlines and manage multiple active deals.
