About The Position
Akerman LLP is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with 5+ years of experience and strong title, survey, and closings experience supporting homebuilders and developers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives managing high-volume transactions and taking ownership of deals from contract through closing. The position can be based in any of Akerman's U.S. offices, but candidates must have substantive paralegal experience supporting Florida commercial real estate transactions. This is a fast-paced, high-volume transactional environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years real estate paralegal experience (law firm required)
- Strong knowledge of title/survey review and contract administration
- Experience managing multiple transactions independently
- Proficient in MS Office and iManage or similar systems
- Substantive paralegal experience supporting Florida commercial real estate transactions
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on closings experience for developers/homebuilders strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial land acquisition and disposition transactions
- Review title commitments, exceptions, surveys, and legal descriptions
- Prepare closing documents, binders, and trackers
- Coordinate closings, funding, and document execution
- Track deadlines and manage multiple active deals
