About The Position

GEICO is seeking a motivated, service-oriented Commercial Physical Damage Field Adjuster to support commercial claims. The role involves working in settings that may include repair shops, salvage yards, customers’ homes, and virtual estimating environments. The adjuster inspects commercial damage, estimates repair costs, prepares total loss evaluations, negotiates settlements, issues payments, and provides customer service. Claims primarily involve contractor vehicles, heavy equipment such as semi-trucks, and other specialty claims. The role requires remote and field work. GEICO provides paid training, including two weeks of required hands-on experience at its Ashburn, Virginia training facility. The position is open to candidates located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, or Charleston.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Commercial Physical Damage Claims Appraising.
• Attain and maintain licenses required by state insurance departments.
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with company underwriting guidelines for at least the past 3 consecutive years.
• Ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits.
• Strong computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and multitasking skills.
• Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and willingness to develop these abilities.
• At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
