The Distribution & Logistics Lead US is responsible for End-to-End distribution activities in the US and Canadian markets. The Lead sets Logistics Service provider partner management strategy, order-to-cash strategy, local inventory management & import process strategy to meet financial objectives, drives partner performance and customer value creation, resolves bottlenecks, and develops new capabilities and solutions for the team. The role is the primary PO&T Supply Chain contact to US and Canadian Commercial management and owns the management of the S&OP process with the Commercial function. Together with commercial counterparts, the ultimate goal of the Lead is to ensure desired customer service levels, launch timelines and continuous product supply are met. The role works closely with the US and Canada Commercial, Finance & Planning teams to ensure on-time-in-full supply. The role has responsibility for US/Canada finished goods distribution management, replenishment of Biogen products at US/Canadian DC’s, and sales & inventory reporting. The role routinely identifies and communicates any supply continuity risks to management and supports recommendations and initiates implementation of corrective actions to exclude any supply risk. The US / Canada markets contribute $8+ billion to Biogen revenue. The role has in-depth understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and an intimate knowledge of the functioning of the US and Canadian markets. This includes a robust knowledge of US/Canadian market dynamics, go-to-market models, import & customs broker management, customer order-to-invoicing process, 3PL performance, inventory management, month-end reporting, SOX compliance and cost management. Challenging and highly visible role that serves as the D&L strategic partner and operational lead to Biogen stakeholders in the US and Canadian markets, including Commercial, Finance, Legal, R&D and Compliance. In addition, the role owns the relationship with multiple Logistics Service Providers in both the US and Canada Commercial Logistics Lead, North America is responsible for End-to-End distribution activities in the US and Canadian markets.
