About The Position

Western National Insurance Group is seeking a Support Specialist I to join their team. This role involves completing data entry for new business, renewals, and endorsements. The individual will maintain accurate records, update reports, and perform routine clerical duties. They will also manually rate all lines of coverage, gather information to answer questions, and contribute to problem-solving. A key aspect of the role is adhering to customer experience standards, including prompt responses, positive attitude, rapport building, empathy, expectation management, appropriate communication, and taking ownership of issue resolution. The position also requires frequent contact with internal departments and team members, and may involve special projects.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Keeps accurate and current records in designated systems that are accessible to others.
  • Updates routine reports and understands information.
  • Performs duties that are routine and clerical in nature.
  • Manually rates all lines of coverage, including nonautomated and infrequent coverages, as needed.
  • Seeks relevant information and answers to key questions from defined sources.
  • Gathers input and makes recommendations to solve problems of moderate complexity.
  • Applies knowledge to help solve problems of relatively limited scope and complexity.
  • Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards, including responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing the customer’s expectations, using the proper communication channel for the situation, and taking ownership to ensure the customer’s issue is resolved.
  • Frequently contacts other internal departments and team members.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
