About The Position
One of our clients, a top National Brokerage is seeking an experienced and results-driven Commercial Insurance Producer. The ideal candidate will have an established network, deep industry knowledge, and a proven ability to develop new business opportunities while maintaining long-term client relationships. This role focuses on delivering tailored risk management and insurance solutions in the Syracuse area.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial insurance sales/producer experience.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales goals.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze complex risks and structure comprehensive insurance solutions.
- Experience working with agency management systems and CRM platforms.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Existing book of business or strong industry referral network.
- CIC, CRM, CPCU, or similar professional designation.
- Experience with middle-market and large commercial accounts.
- Familiarity with regional and national insurance carriers specializing in construction and real estate risks.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a profitable book of commercial insurance business focused on Real Estate and Construction accounts.
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry associations, and strategic partnerships.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify client exposures to recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Collaborate with carrier underwriters to negotiate competitive terms, pricing, and coverage.
- Present insurance proposals and explain coverage options clearly to clients and prospects.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing ongoing service, policy reviews, and renewal strategies.
- Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, carrier appetites, and regulatory changes affecting construction and real estate businesses.
- Work closely with account managers and service teams to ensure exceptional client experience and retention.
- Meet or exceed sales, revenue, and retention goals established by agency leadership.
- Participate in industry events, trade associations, and community networking opportunities.
