About The Position

The Client Executive serves as the strategic lead and primary client advisor for a portfolio of complex middle market, large commercial, and specialty insurance accounts. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining trusted client relationships, delivering innovative risk management and insurance solutions, coordinating service teams, and driving client retention and growth. The ideal candidate possesses deep insurance brokerage experience, strong wholesale market knowledge, expertise in complex risk placements, and a successful track record managing accounts generating between $100,000 and $1 million+ in annual brokerage revenue.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial insurance, client advisory, and strategic risk management.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, multi-line, and complex client accounts at an executive level.
  • Deep expertise in both Property & Casualty and Life & Health lines, including niche/specialty markets.
  • Extensive network of senior carrier relationships and an ability to negotiate unique coverage structures.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and executive communication skills.
  • Proficient in AMS360 or other agency management platforms.
  • Active P&C and L&H licenses required.

  • Advanced certifications such as CPCU, CIC, CRM, CEBS, or ARM strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead executive advisor to the firm’s most high-profile, multi-faceted clients, large privately held firms, and highly regulated entities.
  • Develop long-term strategic risk management plans that support clients’ operational, financial, and compliance goals.
  • Lead high-level client interactions including board presentations, contract negotiations, M&A due diligence, and enterprise risk assessments.
  • Oversee multi-line programs (Property & Casualty, Life & Health, and specialty coverages) to ensure comprehensive coverage alignment.
  • Act as the final escalation point for major service or claims issues.
  • Drive the strategic growth of assigned accounts by identifying and capitalizing on cross-sell and upsell opportunities across all lines of coverage.
  • Achieve defined revenue targets through client development initiatives, long-range planning, and program innovation.
  • Continuously assess profitability and risk exposure across the book of business, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with producers, carrier partners, and internal teams to structure complex programs that maximize client value.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of specialty markets, carriers, industry verticals, and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a strategic liaison with executive-level carrier contacts to negotiate specialized coverage terms and create bespoke insurance solutions.
  • Represent the firm as a thought leader at industry events, conferences, and client forums.
  • Participate in product development or advisory committees, both internally and with strategic partners.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model to Client Executives I and II and senior Client Managers.
  • Provide strategic input on internal initiatives including practice growth, operational enhancements, and talent development.
  • Lead internal cross-functional teams to support high-value client engagements and special projects.
