About The Position

Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Assistant to join its team in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The role works closely with the Commercial Account Manager, Commercial Producers, and Commercial Lines Marketing Representatives to service new and existing accounts and help achieve agency sales goals and service standards. The assistant develops knowledge of Commercial Lines procedures, supports client service and account analysis, reviews carrier documents, and assists with marketing and underwriting preparation.

Requirements

At least two years of insurance experience.
High school degree.
Completion of, or evidence of skills outlined by, Commercial Management.

Nice To Haves

A 440 or 220 license within one year of employment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Handle client requests for information, endorsements, cancellations, and other services.
Assist in analyzing insurance exposures and account summaries.
Assist in recommending coverage or coverage changes based on client needs.
Use carrier rating systems available for agency use.
Develop working knowledge of company underwriting philosophies and appetites.
Review policies, endorsements, audits, and quotations prepared by carriers for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in compiling and preparing marketing and underwriting data, including loss runs, Motor Vehicle Reports, experience modifications, and FCCPCP credits.
Issue binders, certificates, automobile identification cards, invoices, and similar items.
Develop a full working knowledge of Commercial Lines procedures.
