About The Position

Alera Group is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you! Prior experience in Commercial lines is required. This role can be located in one of the following offices: Appleton, Green Bay, Madison, Onalaska or Waukesha. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
2+ years of commercial lines insurance servicing experience
Active P&C license required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
Working knowledge of commercial insurance products (GL, Property, Workers’ Comp, Auto, Umbrella, etc.) with proficiency in agency management systems such as Applied Epic, AMS360, or similar
Strong communication, organization, and attention‑to‑detail skills with a commitment to professional development, including pursuit of CISR, CIC, or related designations within two years

Responsibilities

Service and manage a portfolio of mid-market to large commercial insurance accounts by coordinating renewals, policy changes, endorsements, billing, audits, and client inquiries while ensuring regulatory and company compliance
Support new and renewal business by preparing applications and proposals, evaluating client exposures, analyzing loss trends, obtaining carrier quotes, and assisting producers with marketing and placement
Collaborate closely with producers, underwriters, carriers, and internal teams to deliver seamless client service, maintain accurate agency system records, and drive strong account retention
