Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Meridian, ID . The Commercial Lines Account Manager delivers exceptional client service while managing and supporting a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and internal teams — handling policy servicing, account management, and supporting new business and renewal activities.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license.
  • 3+ years of commercial lines account management.
  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
  • Ability to service within modern tech-centric agency management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Equivalent work experience or equivalent college degree.
  • Experience in commercial insurance markets and carrier relationships.
  • Experience supporting marketing, renewals, or new business placement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary contact for client inquiries, providing timely , professional, and high-quality service .
  • Manage inbound and outbound phone call service requests , and day-to-day service requests including policy changes, endorsements, certificates, ID cards, and coverage questions .
  • Support clients with billing questions, payment processing, and premium collection .
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and long-term partnerships .
  • Prepare, review, and process insurance documents including certificates of insurance, binders and endorsements, and renewal accords /supplementals and proposals.
  • Maintain accurate client records in agency management systems, including updates, file documentation, and tracking open items .
  • Collect and analyze client exposure data and assist in identifying coverage gaps .
  • Verify invoicing accuracy and assist with premium finance agreements and accounting-related items .
  • Manage mid-term policy changes and assist with renewal strategy and stewardship reviews .
  • Identify opportunities for additional coverage to mitigate uninsured or underinsured exposures .
