Requirements

  • Property/Casualty License Required
  • 3-5 years of proven successful sales or related experience, required
  • Proven ability to achieve established sales quotas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience using contact management software
  • Working knowledge and competency in use of agency management system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other software as required by position
  • Ability to use menu-driven software
  • Ability to work independently
  • Assertive, self-starter
  • Ability to influence others
  • Good Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Must process a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
  • Insurance sales experience, preferred
  • If licensed, maintain Agent/Broker License through continuing education

Responsibilities

  • Generate new commercial insurance sales and sell additional OneGroup product offerings.
  • Build and maintain a growing client roster while meeting sales and service standards.
  • Meet with and proactively review client needs.
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge to provide effective insurance solutions.
  • Sell consultatively and make recommendations based on client needs.
  • Use and maintain prospect and pipeline information within the agency CRM.
  • Develop and maintain a database of qualified leads through various methods including referrals, cold calling, direct mail, email, and networking.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
  • Acquire detailed client information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation, and transition new accounts to the client service team.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Attend and actively participate in scheduled sales meetings, seminars, and events.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with support departments and affiliated companies for cross-marketing opportunities.
  • Participate in continuing education, self-education, and credentialing.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
