About The Position

EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed independent contractors with strong communication and computer skills, and a commitment to quality and timeliness. This role involves working from a home or personal office and conducting onsite survey/inspection assignments in the Gulfport / Pascagoula, MS area, and surrounding locations within approximately 45 miles. Inspectors are responsible for scheduling and performing on-site surveys, then providing risk control reports to insurance industry clients. These reports are crucial for underwriting commercial insurance policies and may include recommendations to mitigate potential loss-producing conditions. Inspectors will manage their accepted assignments, secure customer appointments, and complete work promptly. The core function is to evaluate various commercial operations, such as retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction jobsites, churches, and schools, to identify hazards and enhance safety for insurance company clients. While most surveys focus on Property and General Liability coverage, the role also extends to other commercial insurance lines including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk.
