About The Position

Freedom Power is hiring a Commercial Solar Installer to work as part of a crew installing commercial solar systems ranging from 10kW to 1MW at businesses, campuses, and facilities across Texas. The role is suited to candidates with construction, electrical, or solar experience who are ready to work on large-scale commercial projects. The position is based in Austin, Texas, and requires in-state travel as project assignments require. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Requirements

0–4 years of experience in commercial solar installation, electrical work, or construction.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel in-state for commercial projects.
Familiarity with commercial solar mechanical and electrical principles.
Strong work history demonstrating career progression.
Flexible, hard-working, and a team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
Strong communication skills and pride in one's work.
Ability to lift, bend, squat, and haul 50+ pounds routinely throughout the day.
Comfort working at heights, on ladders, and across large commercial job sites.
Ability and willingness to work in Texas heat and other outdoor conditions.

Nice To Haves

Valid Apprentice Electrician license preferred.
Electrical code knowledge strongly desired.

Responsibilities
