About The Position

Freedom Power, formed when Freedom Solar and Freedom HVAC joined forces, is hiring a Commercial Installer to help install commercial solar systems ranging from 10kW to 1MW at businesses, campuses, and other facilities. The role is based in Austin, Texas, and involves working as part of a crew on large-scale projects across Texas. The installer is expected to deliver safe, high-quality work on schedule, uphold company standards, support the crew, and represent Freedom Solar Power's mission and values at project sites. In-state travel is required as project assignments demand. The position is full-time, hourly, and non-exempt.

Requirements

0–4 years of experience in commercial solar installation, electrical work, or construction.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel in-state for commercial projects.
Strong work history with demonstrated career progression.
Flexible, hard-working, and a team player.
Strong communication skills and pride in one's work.

Nice To Haves

Valid Apprentice Electrician license preferred.
Electrical code knowledge strongly desired.
Familiarity with commercial solar mechanical and electrical principles.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a crew on commercial solar installations ranging from 10kW to 1MW.
Complete work assignments safely, on schedule, and with quality workmanship.
Uphold company safety, quality, and attitude standards and policies.
Travel in-state for commercial project assignments.
Represent and perpetuate the mission, goals, and values of Freedom Solar Power on job sites.
Support the crew and perform other duties as assigned.
