About The Position

Locke Supply is looking for motivated individuals who have a passion for sales and customer service. The Commercial Electrical- Inside Sales Associate position is a full-time, salaried position (Monday through Friday) in Oklahoma City, OK. This position is eligible for monthly commission and Benefits (include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and ESOP). Locke Supply is an Employee-Owned Company and a premium supplier in Plumbing, Electric, and HVAC markets all over the Southwest with over 180 Walk-in locations in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, and Virginia. Locke is headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As an inside sales associate, you will have the opportunity to build a comprehensive understanding of Locke Supply’s product offerings, network with Locke Supply’s vendors and manufacturers, strengthen our relationships with our largest customers, and play a major part in Locke Supply’s growth in an exciting, competitive and fast-paced industry.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and skills common with 1 or more years’ experience in sales
  • Electrical knowledge and experience, required
  • Field Electrical Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work on office equipment
  • Desire to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Ability to pass a drug test

Nice To Haves

  • Consultative sales experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Price products in alignment with company guidelines, estimate potential jobs, and coordinate with our warehouse and delivery team.
  • Assist our customers with solutions to their daily job needs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person regarding electrical products, pricing, and availability.
  • Prepare and process quotes and sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Provide technical product knowledge and support to help customers and outside sales select appropriate materials
  • Coordinate with vendors and create purchase orders to source non-stock or special-order items
  • Follow up on open quotes and proactively pursue sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with outside sales to support customer relationships and project needs.
  • Monitor and track order status to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any delays or issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both outside sales and their customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and manufacturer updates.
  • Support counter sales and will-call orders when needed.
  • Handle returns, warranty claims, and credits in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with branch inventory management
  • Create delivery sheets and work closely with the warehouse/back-of-house team to ensure all deliveries are accurate and made on time.
  • Assist in any additional duties as assigned to support branch operations.
