About The Position
Blake Thermal Sales & Service, Inc. is seeking experienced Commercial/Industrial Boiler/Burner/Controls Technicians, including apprentices and senior-level personnel, to join their team. The company is the official representative for Cleaver Brooks, Camus, and other C&I equipment manufacturers in the thermal energy industry. This role focuses on advanced control systems and requires technicians who are thermal energy & mechanically/electrically minded, self-managed, and customer-focused. Requirements
- Strong customer-focused technician skills.
- Experience as a C&I burner, controls, or combustion technician is a plus.
- Positive attitude with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate high levels of professionalism and capability.
- Ability to respond quickly to service calls with good time management and planning.
- Motivated and fast-paced personality with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision once trained.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proficient computer ability for producing required reports.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical for driving fleet vehicles as required.
- Ability to pass a pre-hire drug test.
- Ability to pass a pre-hire background check.
- Completion of an I-9 form.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in boiler and burner technicians with a focus on advanced control systems.
- Apprentices and senior level personnel are welcome.
- Other languages are a plus.
- A CDL is not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled & emergency maintenance/repair of the equipment and all other associated equipment.
- Perform installation of the equipment at customer sites as well as conducting pre-installation assistance.
- Be available for "On Call" 24-hour emergency service rotation.
- Troubleshoot and tune combustion, and determine/adjust a full range of burners.
- Perform factory start-up and commissioning of various C&I thermal equipment.
- Conduct boiler room analyses for possible opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Implement energy efficiency measures.
- Write technical reports.
- Maintain company provided equipment, tools and/or fleet vehicle as per company policy.
- Complete company provided confined space & lockout/tagout training.
- Prevent or mitigate any environmental impact associated with job-related tasks, accidents, and emergency situations or conditions.
- Actively promote safe behaviors and health awareness at all times.
