About The Position

Automated Mechanical, part of Kelso Industries, is hiring a full-time HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The role supports reliable, energy-efficient performance through service work on equipment including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps. The technician communicates service findings and next steps to clients and teammates, documents work accurately, and follows applicable safety, code, and company compliance requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role.
• Solid grasp of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• EPA 608 certification.
• Ability to read technical documents and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC certification or technical training.
• NATE certification or equivalent.
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems and equipment.
• Comfort using digital service tools and mobile work order platforms.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to keep systems running at peak performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults across HVAC equipment.
• Repair or replace components including motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Read and apply wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Keep clients and teammates informed on service findings and next steps.
• Log service work accurately, including parts used and system condition.
• Follow all safety, code, and company compliance requirements.
