About The Position

Rowbel Services, part of Kelso Industries, is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair commercial and residential HVAC systems, perform maintenance and inspections, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems. The technician will replace or repair defective components, interpret technical documentation, communicate findings and recommendations to clients and team members, maintain accurate service records, and ensure work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role.
Proficiency with VRF systems and light commercial work.
EPA 608 certification.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

NATE certification or equivalent.
Familiarity with digital service tools and mobile work order platforms.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to support optimal system performance and longevity.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment.
Replace or repair defective components, including motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
Communicate service findings and recommendations to clients and team members.
Maintain accurate service records documenting work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
Ensure work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
