Requirements

  • Mid -level experience as an HVAC technician, specifically in commercial heating, air, and understanding of controls
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of BMS controllers & BAS, and ability to work with controls contractors.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer -centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Universal EPA certified
  • Journeyman HVAC preferred but not required.
  • Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Start up & service equipment, ensuring functionality and efficiency while following company policies and mechanical drawings.
  • Use advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical issues quickly and optimize system performance.
  • Understand BMS controllers and BAS, and collaborate with controls contractors.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings for accurate installation and maintenance.
  • Proficient understanding of electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Inspect HVAC systems to spot potential issues and ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Provide ongoing support and expert guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Work smoothly with all trades and contractors to streamline processes.
  • Keep detailed records of service activities, maintenance schedules, and client communications.
  • Commission systems using New England Air System tools.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
  • Perform advanced system diagnostics and complete required commissioning documentation.
  • Document changes and provide information for as -built documentation.
  • Train field service technicians as needed.
  • Program standalone controllers to meet project specifications.
  • Monitor HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and settings as per OEM requirements.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
