About The Position

ConServ Building Services is hiring a lead HVACR commercial installer to perform HVAC installation and startup work. The role includes interpreting drawings, scopes, and equipment submittals; estimating job pricing and material needs; coordinating ductwork installation with other trades; installing ductwork and mechanical equipment; and completing piping, insulation, and low-voltage control wiring tasks. Copper brazing, equipment startup, and troubleshooting are considered a plus. Work completed is reported daily through a company tablet. ConServ Building Services, founded in 1991 as the service division of BCH Mechanical, serves regional clients across several southeastern states.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in the HVAC trade.
• EPA certification.
• Refrigeration knowledge.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and an onsite drug test.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Copper brazing, equipment startup, and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend drawings, scopes, and equipment submittals.
• Apply knowledge of local mechanical codes for estimating and inspections.
• Estimate job pricing, perform material takeoffs, and order materials needed to complete jobs.
• Lay out ductwork for installation and coordinate with other trades.
• Install sheet metal, fibrous board, and flex duct, dampers, and air devices.
• Measure and draw sheet metal duct fittings for ordering.
• Hang and set exhaust fans, louvers, units, and other mechanical equipment.
• Hang copper, PVC, and piping hangers for refrigerant, condensate, and chilled-water piping.
• Insulate ductwork with exterior fiberglass wrap.
• Install low-voltage control wiring for thermostats, dampers, heaters, and other control devices.
• Communicate work completed each day through a company tablet.
