About The Position

Helios is hiring a skilled Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and calibrate commercial HVAC/R systems. The technician works independently and as part of a team, communicates with customers and support staff, maintains a stocked service van and tools, and delivers quality service with integrity. The role includes being a reliable resource for nights, weekends, and on-call emergencies, and investing in skills through training and certifications. Technicians are dispatched from home and paid door-to-door. Helios provides a company vehicle, fuel card, smartphone, uniforms, and tools, along with opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• At least 2 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and calibrate commercial HVAC/R systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and heating principles.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic technology skills, including navigating mobile apps and documentation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and frequently move heavy objects.
• Comfort working in extreme temperatures and tight spaces, including attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
• Balance and coordination to climb ladders and work at heights of 45 feet or higher.
• Endurance to stand or kneel for extended periods.
• Dexterity for tasks such as connecting electrical components and making precise measurements.

Nice To Haves

• Universal EPA certification.
