S&S Mechanical is searching for a full-time Commercial HVAC Foreman to join their team. In this role, you will guide crews and shape the future of local commercial construction. Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience
  • Solid knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, controls, and mechanical codes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a crew and delegate tasks
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Physical ability to regularly stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, lift 50+ pounds, and work in active construction environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, crawlspaces, and elevated areas)

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Certification
  • Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent experience
  • Experience as a foreman or similar supervisory position on commercial projects
  • Experience managing large-scale or multi-phase construction projects
  • Experience with VRF systems, rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, or controls integration

Responsibilities

  • Lead your team in completing exceptional work on active construction sites
  • Plan daily activities and assign tasks to crew members
  • Coordinate HVAC installations according to blueprints, specifications, and engineered plans
  • Oversee the installation of duct systems, equipment, refrigerant piping, ventilation systems, and controls components
  • Make sure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, engineers, inspectors, and other trade professionals to ensure consistency across all project stages
  • Train apprentices and junior installers
  • Manage materials and equipment
  • Address roadblocks and solve problems to keep projects on track and within budget
  • Assist with system startup, punch lists, and final project completion
  • Keep the work area as clean, safe, and organized as possible
